About the Project
The Mole Books are a series of children’s books authored by Armaan J. Sarna, currently a high school student. He wrote MOLE BOOKS when he was just a child in Grade 5. He was 10 years old at the time. MOLES are examples of children’s literature penned by a 10-year-old child mirroring the world around him. Mole, The protagonist of The MOLE BOOKS, features a bevy of anthropomorphic moles, who learn about society and how to be kind to themselves and others during the stories. The first three MOLE BOOKS are from the series of ‘Community Helpers’ as they educate young minds about the important role played by various members of a community such as a Baker, a Policeman, a Chef, a Gardener, a Painter, and so on. Mole Books: Mole Wants to be a Firefighter, Mole the Gardener... by Armaan J. Sarna Armaan conceptualized created and designed Mole as his central protagonist to take his stories forward. The Character MOLE is trademarked and copyrighted in the USA and worldwide. MOLE BOOK STORIES are trademarked in USA and Worldwide in the name of Armaan J Sarna. Mole Books has been pitched to Hollywood in a book to screen Pitch Fest at Las Vegas at the Ceasars Palace on the 3rd and 4th June 2016. Kirkus has reviewed Sarna’s Mole Books ( Armaan J. Sarna | Kirkus Reviews ). In January 2017, Sarna took his MOLE BOOKS to the 23rd World book fair in New Delhi, India, where they were highly appreciated. This world book fair was organized by National Book Trust- NBT, Ministry of Human resources Development, Government of India in collaboration with ITPO India Trade Promotion Organisation.IN addition, MOLE BOOKS have been part of Several International book fairs. Between 2016 and 2019, MOLE BOOKS have been part of several international books fairs in London, Frankfurt, Guadalajara, and New York.

Sarna believes that every child deserves rich literature that caters specifically to their age group. The books were initially published in English. Recently Sarna undertook the initiative to translate them into regional languages of India to increase their accessibility and audience. Through his MOLE BOOK and their stories, he aims to distribute translated copies to NGOs around India.
